In my project “Fairy City” I explore new St. Petersburg districts. Instead of the usual condemning look at the micro-district buildings, I try to see romantic features in the surrounding landscapes. In the imagination arises pictures of a majestic medieval castle. 

The new modern city surrounding by high-rise endless houses turn into a fortress wall.

In the photos we see the attributes of the romantic Middle Ages and elements of fairy-tale life: the cross, symbolizing a powerful institution of religion; sword - a reference to knights and crusades; the lost shoe of Cinderella; magic mountain or hill, as well as a camera in the form of a sleepless eye of justice.
